- As we are walking out of the restroom at B*arnes & N*oble, a girl with blue and red hair, all punked out and wearing goth black clothes walks in. Just as she is brushing past us, Linzi points to her hair (the girl is close enough to touch) and says "Wow! Look mommy, she has very colorful and pointy hair!" I laugh, the girl laughs and then Linzi says "I wish I had colorful hair like that too. Can I have colorful hair mommy?" How do you answer that when what you really want to say is "Sure honey, we can color your hair like that on Halloween" :D and the girl is so close, she is part of the conversation?!!! I am just glad Linzi was so enthralled with the hair, she never noticed the safety pin piercings!!!
- Linzi was playing one day and says "I can do whatever I want to do". So Alex, being the all knowing big brother - who must pop her happy little bubble, says "Sorry, Linzi. But you can't do just anything you want to do." And Linzi response - "YES, I CAN! (in a very indignant and superior tone). I CAN do whatever I want because my mommy says I am special and wonderful!" am I creating a diva here?!!!
- Certainly one of the funniest moments lately - We were in a store, in a very public place, surrounded by people. Out of absolutely no where, Linzi says very sweetly and innocent, but loud "Mommy, I love your big b**bies." Bahahahwahhhhaaa Everybody around us was stifling their laughter and one lady couldn't hold it back. She nearly choked and then everyone else around burst out laughing. It was one of those moments that you just want to be invisible. Oh, and lately, she tells daddy that he has a big tummy. He's actually pretty fit, but I do get a secret little evil chuckle when she tells him. Only because she hasn't noticed mommy's tummy. . . yet. ;)

More "Linzi-isms"
My funny girl never lets a single day go by without making sure I laugh out loud hysterically at least once or twice! I really wish I would have written each one of these moments down - I am sure I could have compiled them in a bestselling book to make you smile or as material for late night TV comedians. So, here are a few from just the last few days:

Hey Sheryl,
I have missed coming by your blog and told myself I was going to visit today. Then I saw your comment on Lindy's and wasted no time...Thank you!!!
The new look is great. I want to learn all this stuff, too. Not sure I have the patience or aptitude.
Totally laughing out loud over Linzi's various comments. I don't think it will be long before our Lindy is in that stage where she says whatever comes to mind. Lindy seems to be fascinated with b**bies and it embarrasses me to no end. We were at dinner the other day with an older couple from church and Lindy commented on hers. Yes, that's me crawling under the carpet!!!
I loved catching up on your holidays and seeing all your great pics with the new camera.
May I add you to my list of blogs?
Happy weekend,
Lisa
Your daughter sounds like a hoot! I love your unique spelling for Linzi. We have a Lindsey too!
I will never forget 3 year old Lauren telling the Jamacian man in Walmart "you have dark skin just like my daddy"! Keep in mind this man's skin was VERY dark (black as black skin can be)! His clever reply was, "Oh, little blonde one, I KNOW my skin doesn't look like YOUR daddy's!" It was such a funny moment!
I love these! Love the song too! I have came to hear it several time while working today!
I am laughing out loud. I am telling you, Miss Linzi and Mallory would have a ball together. Mallory says stuff exactly like that. She totally cracks me up every single day. You have inspired me to do a post on Mallory-isms. Be looking for it in the next week. :)
Too cute! You will love reading those in years to come. I love it!
Oh Sheryl, she is so funny! Isn't it always the way, out of the mouths of babes... just when you want them to speak quieter, they scream it and just when you need them to step up, they are , hmmm "shy"!
Just love coming for a visit - hoping you are having a very happy weekend. (Love this song!!)

I'm laughing so hard at Linzi's little comments! She is quite the little comedian, isn't she? :) Reminds me of Hannah so much- maybe it's a Wuwei thing. ha...ha.
I was just thinking the other day how I wish we lived closer!!
