Daddy's Little Girl

Our baby girl is growing up so fast!!! Just look at her! Friday was the annual Father/Daughter Dance at her elementary school. Since Mandi is in 5th grade, this will be her last Father/Daughter Dance. sniff sniff!!!



Mandi has always been her daddy's princess. Eric goes out of his way to make her feel special, hopefully setting the bar VERY high for any boy who is lucky enough to take her out someday in the very, very distant future. :)

They have gone to the dance every year since kindergarten, so we have many traditions that go with the night. Like pictures on the rock, riding with her friend Maddy and Maddy's dad and having dinner afterwards with the same group of girls and dads each year.





I can't believe how fast time flies! Here's a picture of our little princess stepping out for her very first Father/Daughter Dance in Kindergarten. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful daughter, inside and out!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Year of the Pig!!! This is Mandi's year, so it will be a good one, I am sure.

We met some friends at our new favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner. The girls looked so adorable in their silks.

In Search of Snow. . .

Eric, Alex & Mandi headed out early this morning in search of snow in the mountains. They found snow and lots of frozen waterfalls. Check out the icicle that Alex thought he was going to bring home.

Linzi & I stayed home and went to the mall for a Starbucks. :-)

Just living life, no time to blog these days!

Well, it's been how many months since I updated?!!! Life is busy, something has to get pushed aside, my computer time tops the list. Hopefully, things are slowing down enough that I can start posting regularly.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a very moving video that is floating around out there in bloggyland. Anyone who knows me knows that I dream of a day that I can go back to China and do some type of work in the orphanages. New Song (an awesome Christian band) just did exactly that. It really hits home.
