I don't have a big following of this blog, but I do know that my few faithful readers are also some of the best prayer warriors out there. Today, I would really cherish those prayers. I just found out last night that my mother has been having some health problems. She kept it from me because she didn't want to worry me. I just happened to call her last night about something and when she answered the phone, I could tell she was sick. She then tells me that the problem has gotten so bad, she can't ignore it anymore and has had a few doctor appointments and today, they are doing a colonostomy. (sp?) This is not a routine, preventative one, but a diagnostic one. Apparently, there is enough reason to believe that something may be wrong. She goes in for the procedure at noon today, and hopefully, we may have some answers by the end of the day.
My mother is young - 60 years old. I am an only child and my parents divorced when I was young. Most of my growing up years were just my mother and I. Besides my husband and children, she is all I have. I can't shake this feeling of dread. I am not ready for this. . .

Dear Father God,
Please lay your hands upon Sharon and let your healing power embrace her and keep her strong in body and spirit. We know you are a Great God that does so much for us and we are forever grateful to you. We pray that Sharon will be fine and whatever is ailing her will restored within her by your power.
In Jesus' name Amen...
Oh dear friend,
I knew something was telling me to check on you...I am on bended knee for your sweet mother. I pray that she will be seen by the best doctors, treated with the best care and that the results will show nothing. I pray for her heart, that she will seek her loving Father at this time and lean on Him for strength - I pray for you the same. Thank you for the honor of praying for your family and please, keep us informed.
You are loved and lifted high right now, sweetie.
Love,
Heather
I will be praying for your mom and pray God will lead the doctors to know what is going on. I am also praying for healing!!! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!

I am shaking because I understand the fear you have. About a year before we brought home Lindy my mother was suddenly hospitalized and was close to death a time or two during her stay. They never found a thing wrong with her but she was very ill. I was an absolute mess the entire time she was in the hospital and I had that terrible sense of dread. I couldn't travel to be with her, either. I will pray that the colonoscopy went smoothly and that nothing abnormal was found.
I also hope you will be able to seriously talk with your mom about HOW important it is for her to share what is taking place with her health with you. Sure she doesn't want to worry you but you have to have the peace to trust her that she'll share things with you.
I pray this dread you feel will soon be gone and you'll hear something positive, instead. If that is not the case, I pray God will give you the strength you need to face the uncertainty.
With love and prayers,
Lisa
I am so sorry. I am praying that everything will be fine. Keep us posted.
Did you see that the family in China re-opened their blog?
Oh Sheryl..I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm praying for your Mother and you as well. I'm hoping you have results by now and will share with us how we can continue to pray. Love you, my friend!
