We have been back from spring break for two weeks and I am just now getting around to catching up! There just hasn't been any time to blog but I have plenty to blog about.
For starters, we had a wonderful, relaxing spring break at the beach. Some of my favorite moments:
- Bike riding with Alex & Mandi. We rode several miles, all up and down the beach and through town. Linzi was too little of course, so it made for some nice one on one time with them.
- Early morning walks and bike rides on the beach with Mandi. We didn't get up early as many mornings as we had planned. But the few that we made it out the door at sunrise were worth the lost zzz's. Mandi and I always try to walk the beach at sunrise when we go. It is our special time. Now that she is on the cusp of being a teenager, there are so many important and meaningful conversations to have. I couldn't think of a more perfect way to connect with my oldest daughter.
- Watching Linzi play "ponies" on the beach. Yes, this child is STILL obsessed with ponies. Like I have said before, she doesn't just like ponies, she wants to BE a pony! At the beach, she was a wild pony, galloping joyfully in the sand.
- Looking at the multi million dollar Parade of Homes model homes with my mom. It's always fun to dream. . .and to be inspired (on a smaller scale of course) :D
- Boat rides and dolphin spotting at sunset, with a margarita in hand. Doesn't get anymore relaxing than that!
- And if you are still reading, my last and probably most favorite time was the evening spent, alone, with my husband. We had a wonderful dinner at a little Inn on the water. But the best part of the evening was sitting in the lifeguard stand, on the ocean, at sunset, with a blanket and drinks in hand. We soooo needed that time to reconnect with no interruptions! We are possibly facing some life changing decisions and it was the perfect setting to discuss that. More on that when we have the answers we are waiting for. It's nothing bad, as a matter of fact, it is all good, no matter how things turn out.
When we got home, we hit the ground running. So many different things are going on right now, my head is spinning. I have a lot to blog about like Linzi's Spring Program, you HAVE to see my little HAM! It is too funny. I will try to get the video uploaded this weekend. I am also very busy with a few adoption video projects and have a few more on the backburner.
More coming, I promise!!! And I also promise to get around to visiting everyone else. I have popped in here and there, but haven't left any comments lately. I will try to do better!

It sounds like a wonderful spring break! I love riding our bike on the beach and that's what we'll be doing next Saturday!
I had to LOL at Linzi and her pony obsession. Li Li LOVE horses and watches the movie Spirit EVERY day! I can recite the dialog!

I am so happy you posted! I have missed hearing from you and so sorry I have not emailed you. Sounds like your spring break was so wonderful. I LOVE walking on the beach everyday too. What a treat that Mandi walked with you.
I am sure things have been so busy since returning home. We are so busy here too. The girls are going in a million directions and Savannah will be home for the summer on Monday. That is so great!
Can't wait to see the video of Linzi!!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Sheryl - I have truly missed you, friend and I loved this post - your time away sounds just perfect. I wish you peace as you make decisions and will certainly pray for your family as the Lord leads your hearts.
I love the pictures, the thoughts and reflections and well, EM went through a pony stage, so I thought that was particularly sweet:)
Glad to have you back.
